Moving from a low-income admin position with a monthly salary of RM 1700 to a career in the e-learning education sector may appear unconventional, but for individuals like Nadzirah, it materialized due to her unwavering growth mindset, which pushed her to seize opportunities and enhance her skills.

Initially working as an admin, Nadzirah sought opportunities for career advancement. Discovering the FOW program, she embarked on a journey of personal and professional development, now working in the training and upskilling department for her company.

Reflecting on her journey, she recalls her initial skepticism about a career change. However, her participation in numerous e-learning courses provided valuable information and skills enhancement, ultimately leading to her successful transition into her current role.

The Future of Work (FOW) program played a pivotal role in Nadzirah's career transformation. Immediately upon stumbling onto the opportunity, she took a leap of faith and applied for the program. The FOW program's emphasis on upskilling and the value that it provided appealed to Nadzirah, motivating her to participate despite already possessing some work experience.

For fresh graduates, Nadzirah believes the program offers a warm reception and exposure to various information, enabling them to apply their learnings to future careers. Confidence in communication skills, understanding client behaviors, and adapting to technology are crucial aspects that Nadzirah emphasized as essential for success in her role.

‘Don't be afraid to change careers; everyone's pathways are different. If you want to make a career transition, there are few important things you need to do - identify a  career pathway that suits you, thorough preparation to mitigate potential challenges such as culture shock or unfamiliarity with job responsibilities, and be adaptable in new environments and technologies.

While Nadzirah acknowledges she hasn't reached her ultimate career aspirations yet, she remains optimistic about achieving satisfaction and success along her current career path. She encourages others not to fear career changes and emphasizes the importance of preparation, adaptation, and seizing opportunities for growth.

In conclusion, Nadzirah's journey serves as a testament to the transformative potential of programs like FOW in empowering individuals to pursue career advancement and achieve their professional goals, regardless of their starting point.
